Engineering. Environmental Protection. Construction Management. Process Improvement. Business Operations. I’ve done it all.
I’m running for Mayor because I have the executive leadership and construction project management skills developed over my career across six federal agencies doing tough things to benefit working families, our military, and the environment. So what does that mean?
I worked to provide housing, water, wastewater, and critical community facilities to dozens of rural and disadvantaged communities across Arizona, including several Native American Tribes. I led project development, design, and construction for projects of all sizes across the western US in tough conditions. I served in executive leadership positions providing top-level advice, counsel, and direction to large teams doing tough projects on short timelines with tight budgets. I’ve had to make tough budget decisions for organizations, I’ve advocated for protecting the environment and our most vulnerable populations, and I’ve always put people first.
Oh, and I’ve done all that while serving my community as a volunteer in San Leandro schools; as a youth baseball and soccer coach, as a scout leader; as President of the Floresta Baseball League; and as an Assistant Track and Field and Cross Country coach at San Leandro High School.
Just to keep things interesting, I’ve completed nine grueling Ironman triathlon races, established a youth triathlon training business, served as an Ambassador to enhance USA Triathlon’s efforts to advance the sport for the 2028 Summer Olympics, and I’ve recently joined the San Leandro Education Foundation board to provide growth opportunities for San Leandro’s students, teachers, and schools.
